Bunday Monday 29/01/2010

Okay, it’s not Monday, but that picture of the Snooper is just too cute to not share:

Whenever DH and me have homemade soup, Snoopy MUST steal carrot peels, carrots and parsley from my cutting board. He does not know that whatever he can eat is at the edge, so he can easily access it. He’s proud of himself for “stealing” food from us.

WIP – Hot Water Bottle Cozy 28/01/2010

So, the other day I had a real bad, painful neck. DH and me went out to get some medicine and I decided to get a hot water bottle for warmth in bed. A quick search on Ravelry found me the perfect cozy for my hwb It’s really going to be very cute – with buttons and a turtle neck.

DONE – iPhone Cozy 24/01/2010

I finished the iPhone cozy just in time for my iPhone to come back from the repair. I wish I had added one pattern repeat more though – it’s kind of tight.

Here’s a photo of my half done iPhone cozy modeled by an old Nokia phone. Hopefully my iPhone will be repaired soon, so it can enjoy the new cover, too.

WIP – Sock Yarn Blanket 16/01/2010

Here’s the progress on my blanket. It’s coming along pretty nice. I couldn’t have done it without the RAKs.

RAKs 08/01/2010

I was lucky to receive three (!!!) packages the last two days. All three ladies certainly out-did themselves

One came all the way from Beligum and contained lots of sock yarn left overs, chocolate, teas, a set of stitch markers and a lovely card – see here:

Another one came all the way from the Netherlands which included sock yarn left overs, teas and a lovely card:

And the third one came from Germany and included two skeins of pretty sock yarn, teas and and a nice card:

I was really blessed to receive such wonderful RAKs. I already started using the sock yarns into my blanket and will show photos soon

DONE – Dad’s Monster Socks 30/12/2009

My dad always asks for hand knitted socks … which is fine, but he has H-U-G-E feet and a pair of socks takes up the full 400+m most skeins of sock yarn have.  For comparison, a pair of socks for me take about 200-250m of sock yarn. Anyway, I just finished the socks and my dad seems to be please.
